Your data is yours.
We built Rebee with privacy as a first principle. Your bees work for you, not for advertisers, not for model training, not for anyone else. Last updated May 2026.
TL;DR
Your content is yours. We don't read it, sell it, share it, or use it to train models. Everything is private by default, encrypted in transit and at rest, and hosted in the US. We track basic system usage (logins, session length, feature counts) to keep Rebee healthy and improve it, never the content inside your bees. You can export or delete your data anytime, and no Rebee employee can access your private data without your explicit, time-bound permission.
1. We never share your data
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties. We do not use your content to train models. We do not provide your data to advertisers or partners. The only systems that touch your data are the ones required to run Rebee for you (such as our hosting and database providers, bound by strict data-processing agreements).
2. Explicit permission for support access
No Rebee employee can read your private data without your explicit, opt-in permission. When you request troubleshooting help, you can grant time-bound access from your account settings. Access automatically expires, and every action taken under that grant is recorded in your audit log.
3. Full control: export, delete, purge
You can download a complete export of your data at any time, in standard machine-readable formats. You can delete individual items, entire bees, or your whole account. Deletions are honored across our primary database, file storage, and backups within our retention window.
4. US-based data centers
All Rebee data is currently stored and processed in data centers located in the United States. We do not currently offer hosting in other regions. If regional hosting matters for your use case, let us know. It's on our roadmap, but not available in this phase.
5. Private by default
Every new account is fully private by default. Your bees, files (Nectar, Pollen, Honey), threads, and todos are visible only to you unless you explicitly choose to share. There is no public mode you can be flipped into without an intentional action on your part.
6. Encryption at rest and in transit
All traffic between your browser and Rebee is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+. Data at rest, including database rows and uploaded files, is encrypted using AES-256 on managed storage. Secrets and API keys you provide are stored in an isolated secret store and never returned to the client.
7. What we collect, and why
We collect only what's needed to run the product: your account info (email, name), the content you create with your bees, and minimal operational telemetry (error logs, request latencies) used to keep the service running. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
8. Usage analytics (not your content)
To make Rebee better, we track how the product is used, not what you put into it. That means things like when you log in, how long a session lasts, how many bees and chores you've created, which bee types are popular, and how often features are used. We never read your messages, files, todos, or table data for analytics. The content your bees work with stays private to you, exactly as described above. This usage data is visible only to Rebee admins and is used solely to understand product health and improve your experience.
8. Audit log of access
Whenever someone other than you accesses your account data (for example, a Rebee engineer responding to a support request you authorized), the access is recorded in an audit log visible to you. You can see who accessed what, when, and why.
9. Right to be forgotten
When you delete your account, we permanently remove your data from our live systems and purge it from backups on our standard rotation. Once the purge completes, your data cannot be recovered, by you, by us, or by anyone else.
10. Children's privacy
Rebee is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email and update the "last updated" date above. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
